ALTAR PRAYER

Laying our lives at the foot of the cross.

Psalm 51 David’s psalm of Repentance

1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great

compassion  blot out my transgressions.2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin..10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me...17 My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

Psalm 1471-3  Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him!...3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Psalm 107:19-21 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. 20 He sent out his word and healed them;  he rescued them from the grave.21 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love  and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body  and nourishment to your bones.

Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and

you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

1 John 1:5-10 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light;

 in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
